The client is always Matthew’s top priority. Most clients he helps are going through the personal injury process for the very first time, so he spends extra time providing comfort and confidence regarding how litigation unfolds. His goal is to ensure each client’s concerns are heard, that their interests are protected. He is known among his clients for acting as a skilled, compassionate litigator who provides guidance at every step of the way.
Matthew has been passionate about representing injured individuals ever since his law school days. Back then, his lawyer friend took him to meet a client who had suffered life-altering catastrophic injuries in a forklift accident. Although the driver was untrained and uncertified, the defendant’s insurance company tried to argue that the injured client should have dodged the out-of-control forklift. Appalled by the sheer gall on the defense’s end, he was inspired to make a career out of helping personal injury victims.
Matthew grew up in the Bay Area. He moved to Portland, Oregon to earn his B.A. in International Affairs, with a minor in Political Science, from Lewis & Clark College. He then moved back to California and obtained his J.D. from the Santa Clara University School of Law. After graduation, he relocated to the greater Sacramento area.
Most of Matthew’s time outside the office is spent with his two children, who he considers to be his pride and joy. When he isn’t with his family, he enjoys road biking, reading, and passing the occasional sunny day wine tasting at local wineries.
